OUR PROGRAM

We offer a half day preschool program from 9:00am to Noon, Monday through Friday.
In addition to preschool, parents are able to take advantage of our early drop-off program, Jump Start, each morning at 8 a.m. Enrichment programs and Lunch Bunch offer parents the opportunity to extend the preschool day to 2:00 p.m. Learn more about our Enrichment offerings under the Extended Day Programming tab on this website.

OUR CURRICULUM

Trinity Preschool has adopted a formal school curriculum for children from birth to prekindergarten, called The Creative Curriculum. This curriculum includes objectives that address all areas of children's learning and development and balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning. Emphasis is placed on responding to children's learning styles and building on their strengths and interests. It also applies the latest theory and research on best practices in teaching and learning and the content standards developed by states and professional organizations.

OUR HISTORY
Trinity Preschool was established in the late 1960s by Trinity United Methodist Church members who were mothers of preschool-aged children. The school was founded to offer children the opportunity to grow and learn in a caring, Christian environment. The school has grown significantly since its founding, becoming one of the largest weekday preschools in Alexandria. We remain true to the ideals of our founders, offering children a place to learn through play and grow in their faith.
