Our Programs
Exploring Through Play
At Trinity Preschool Alexandria, children engage in a play-based curriculum that encourages hands-on exploration and discovery. Our half-day program, with optional before care and/or after care until 5 pm, focuses on fostering child development, building family connections, embracing community values, and celebrating diversity. Each class participates in monthly chapel time, indoor and outdoor playtime, as well as a personalized learning program. Read more about our curriculum here.
Social/Emotional
Self Expression
Children develop independence and self-confidence by participating in group activities such as sharing ideas during circle time or taking turns in a cooperative building project. Self-expression and self-control are fostered through role-playing activities where children practice expressing their feelings and resolving conflicts with peers.
Physical
Discovering the World
Gross motor skills are enhanced through activities such as outdoor play where children jump, climb, and balance. Fine motor skills are developed through activities such as cutting, pasting, or stringing beads.
Cognitive
Creative Exploration
Cognitive growth is encouraged through problem-solving games with hands-on experiences. These include building a tower with blocks of different shapes and sizes or exploring cause-and-effect relationships while mixing colors during a science experiment.
Language
Conceptual Problem-Solving
Language skills flourish during storytelling sessions such as predicting what happens next in a story. Creative play encourages conversations as children role play as doctors, chefs, store owners...
Twos, Threes, and Pre-K
Trinity Preschool offers specialized half day preschool for Two Year Olds (Ducks), Three Year Olds (Owls), and Pre-K students (Helping Hands). Each class is from 9:00am-12:00pm. Additionally, parents may take advantage of our early drop off program from 8:00 - 9:00am and our flexible after care program from 12:00-5:00pm.
