Positive Discipline

At Trinity Preschool, discipline means to teach, not punish. Preschoolers are still learning how to manage big feelings, solve problems, and interact with others. Our role is to guide them with calm consistency and care.

In our classrooms, you’ll see:

  • Connection before correction — We acknowledge feelings and get at eye level.

  • Teaching skills — We model how to ask for a turn, use kind words, and calm our bodies.

  • Logical consequences — Responses are respectful and related to the behavior.

  • Calm-down support — Children learn healthy ways to regulate emotions.

Positive discipline builds confidence, empathy, and self-control over time. When school and home work together, children feel secure and supported as they grow. If you have questions about our approach, please reach out.
